At yesterday’s Kimbolton 3k Fun Run, BRJ juniors stole the show with seven podium places and five category wins. Keelan Duffy (pictured) led the way, finishing in sixth position and scooping first place in the U15M category. Chloe Loosley was first lady, finishing just behind Keelan in seventh and first in the U17F category. Other first category places were won by Gaige Duffy – U11M, Jemima Davey – U9F and James Loosley - U9M. Second category places went to Kira Shipley – U13F and Ellie Loosley – U11F. Layton Duffy was third runner for the club in an impressive time of 8.36.
Sunday’s Thorney 5 mile and 3k fun runs saw another successful day for our juniors and seniors. For the second week, 10-year-old Ellie Loosley led home the ladies in the junior 3k run in a seven second personal best time of 12.55. Between August 10th and 13th, members, Sue Yendley and Don Brazier joined another 40 riders to take part in the Adrian Flux Lap of Anglia Charity Bike Ride. The ride follows the 414-mile outline of the East Anglian Air Ambulance territory with riders covering circa 100 miles on each of the four days. Setting off from King’s Lynn, the riders travelled along the beautiful Norfolk coast before dipping inland for their first stop in Norwich. Ten BRJ juniors raced at WiTri on Sunday 14th which is an Eastern League Triathlon at Whittlesey and achieved 2 podium successes.
Beatrice Pauley, age 12, came 1st in Tristar 2. This is Beatrice’s 5th win in the British Triathlon’s Eastern Region Children’s League meaning she has now won the League coming 1st girl in the Tristar 2 category for 2016. Dominic Pauley, age 10, couldn’t quite match his sister’s win, but he had the fastest run of the day and took 3rd place in Tristar 1.

Ellie Loosley led home the ladies at the local Riverside Runners 2k fun run this Sunday. Ellie came seventh in an amazing time of 8.19. Hot on her heels was brother James who led the BRJ boys home in a time of 8.39 with Joshua Gardner finishing in 10.37.
Conditions on the 10k were hot and windy and the seniors were led home by Rhyse Plummer-Coles in 16th place and an impressive 39.48, Anna Douglas led home the ladies in a brilliant 46.30.
