My Challenge is the Pathfinder multi terrain event on Saturday, 22nd June. Pathfinder is a 46 mile run/walk around the WW2 airbases in Cambridgeshire and is held annually on the Saturday nearest the longest day of the year (giving time to complete this challenge). BRJ Run and Tri would like to congratulate all those who completed the beginners running course, despite the recent wintry conditions. Of the 46 people who signed up, many had never been out running before and for others it was their first experience of running since their school cross country lessons. On completion of this eight week course several members of the group have already gone on to take part in nearby races and their local 5k parkruns. After months of hard work and fund raising, Suzie Hall and her team have secured parkrun for Huntingdon! Congratulations Suzie! The first run will be on Saturday 13th April at 9am. The snowy weather held off sufficiently long enough to give the 574 Frostbite competitors some magnificent running conditions that resulted in significant number of great performances at all levels for the BRJ squad.
The Elliott clan continue to produce record breaking performances and this time it was Paula’s turn as she attained “Ladies Champion” status for this venue, bettering the time set by Jackie Wren in 2012 by just over 1 minute.
